Copyr was established in 1961
as Compagnia del Piretro; since then our core business
has always been the formulation of highly effective
insecticides with superior safety profile, mainly
based on pyrethrum and pyrethroids.
With the increased sensitivity towards environmental
protection and safety for operators and consumers,
the know how acquired by Copyr in the formulation
of products with active ingredients of natural origin
has contributed to consolidate a position of leadership
in the domestic market.
In May 2006 Copyr was aquired by Zelnova S.A. and
entering the Zeltia Group.
The Sectors
Traditionally active in Pest Control and HoReCa markets
with specialties for public health and household -insecticides,
rodenticides, deodorants - we have over time developed
a specific competence in Home&Garden, introducing
products dedicated to the protection of crops and
ornamental plants, home interiors and balconies from
insect pests.
The traditional vocation to the use of natural active
ingredients has also been crucial to widen our sphere
of interest to Professional Organic Agriculture and
IPM (Integrated Pest Management) with Pyrethrum based
specific formulations.
Research and Development
Our profound commitment to research and development
generates a constant drive towards innovation and
grants our professional and amateur customers a constantly
updated, in-depth technical support.
With a constant eye on the substantial regulatory
changes regarding biocides and pesticides, we have
recently developed a new Business to Business strategy
aimed at sharing our know how with selected partners
in specific market areas of common interest.
